Here is the 3rd and final installment of my interview with author Brooke Green. Here she talks about what kept her going in her darkest hours. She also give us insight into her new book and what happened when she had back problems. I hope this is an inspiration to all the future authors out there.
Here is part 2 of the interview. Here Brooke explains how to publish your book.
Last Tuesday I had the absolute pleasure speaking with Brooke Green, author of the novel You, Me and He. I contacted Brooke a few months ago on twitter after reading about her book. I made her promise me when AllieWellington.com was finished that she would do an interview with me explaining to everyone how she became a published author. She rushed me a copy of her book You, Me, and He to read and agreed to the interview.
In part 1 Brooke goes into detail about her book. She tells where she got the characters from and her writing process.
Come back tomorrow for part 2. Brooke spills on how she got her book published.

This morning I read this in a little devotional booklet I got from a church back home in Savannah. I have had the booklet for over a year but never read it. I found it again while cleaning my home for the new year and decided that although the book is for Sept, Oct, Nov I would read an entry a day in the mornings.
I hope you enjoy.
Prepared, planted, placed, pruned, prospered (3)
Notice that God placed the man in the garden, “eastward in Eden” (Ge2:8 NKJV). It’s not enough to be in the garden, you’ve got to be in the right location. You must pray, “Lord, place me in my garden.”
You learn a lot by raising children. You’re older and wiser saying, “Don’t do that. Don’t go there.” But you can’t cut through the process. They have to stumble, because that’s how they learn to walk and find their way. Maybe you yourself worked at several jobs before figuring out what you were supposed to do. That’s because you weren’t “placed” yet. At some point, if you’re wise, you begin to pray, “Lord, don’t let me spend my life trying stuff, place me!”
You can be in the right place and not know it–because the place has been planted, not created! Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s, was the child of an unwed mother. He recalls being ashamed of not having a decent pair of shoes to wear. Imagine: a school dropout, wearing shoes that don’t fit, working as a busboy waiting tables–but he has a six-billion-dollar business inside him. It doesn’t matter where you start, it just matters where you finish. You need to look in the mirror and announce, “There’s something in me that hasn’t come out yet. God, help me to be to be steadfast until You pull out of me what You planted in me.” Don’t let anyone convince you that you are a failure because you don’t wear the right shoes, or have it all together right now. God has a place in mind for you. Just walk with Him and He’ll get you there.

Happy New Year everyone! How was your New Years Day (NYD)?
This year for New Year’s Day I did something a little different. I attended Nina Brown’s first annual Vision Board Brunch at Justin’s here in Atlanta.
The purpose of this event was to get a group of like-minded individuals together to make their personal vision boards for the year. I will tell you that the experience was much better than me making my board at home alone as normal. There is something about being in a room of people on 1 accord. There were speakers who shared their experiences with the Law of Attraction and visualization while we ate brunch and made our boards.
For those of you not familiar with “Vision Boards” sometimes called Dreamboards it is a very old concept that was made popular again by the movie The Secret. It is just a collage or a visual interpretation of your goals.
Here is mine:

Here are photos from the event.
